APPLE CIDER VINEGAR.. DID IT CHANGE MY HAIR POROSITY?
The Brand I Used
I know it has been quite awhile since I have posted anything but this is due to the fact
that my hair has indeed changed!! As some of my readers who follow me on Twitter may know that for a couple months well, I gave shampooing a break and decided to test run apple cider vinegar for awhile. I use the mix once a month to cleanse my hair and scalp. My hair was high porosity at the time, so I need to give it all the attention I could.
I started my mini challenge in summer of last year and it actually ended in November. Before, I had to re-moisturize my hair DAILY and by December, I realized that I could go three days at a time. I then started to notice my hair hated some of my staples, was shinier and its color was standing out. Everyone around me noticed a change and even my moisture level was better. That's when I decided to use the cup and water method to test my porosity months after. To my surprise, my porosity moved for high to medium and NEAR TO LOW in some parts. I immediately shout out.. "IT CHANGED!"
I did read that there is a possibility it could happen but I still had doubts. Before, as I put a strand of my hair in the water, it would sink almost immediately. But now you could leave it there for a century and it would still sink just a little.
I am glad my hair is healthier which is why I decided to give the apple cider vinegar a break for couple months. I will be using it coming June. My porosity have not changed since. But I am in the struggle to find staple hair products. Other than the hair product struggle, I love how healthy my hair is and how well it retains moisture.
For right now, I will be keeping my product stash rather simple. You can use any brand apple cider vinegar, preferably organic in your hair. You can also test your porosity using the cup and water method. I already made an indept post about porosity and you can go read that previous post at this link here: Porosity
I am sure I am not the only one who notice this, So if you have ever experience Porosity change using Apple Cider vinegar, feel free to leave your story in the comment section.
until my next..
