DIY GINGER SCALP TONIC

Hello Beauties!

Yes I said it, Ginger! You know I am all about an Organic treatment for my hair, but when I came across this DIY Ginger scalp treatment I had to investigate. At first, I was a bit scared since I read that it can sting a bit, but I decided to give it a try and then share my results.

Benefits of This Tonic

For one, It is an excellent all natural dandruff treatment. It is said to help prevent Dandruff flare ups and get rid of unwanted flakes. I for one do not have a problem with dandruff but I do find that it tend to soothe itchy scalp. Also, it promotes blood flow to the scalp which in return promotes hair growth! I have been using this tonic and I do see a difference in Length of my hair. My hair is a lot fuller and much longer within a month of using this treatment.

How To Make This

It is a very simple recipe and very easy to make. All you need is a freshly peeled and grated ginger and a Carrier oil eg. Olive oil or Coconut oil. After grating your ginger, squeeze to extract juice and strain. Then place 1 or 2 tablespoons of the juice and a table spoon of your carrier oil of choice into an applicator bottle. Shake well and apply to your scalp ONLY for 10-30 minutes. Shampoo and Condition after. If you choose to co wash after that is also fine.

You can use this treatment up to three times a week for maximum results. Once a week did just fine for me. If you are the type of person to wash your hair more than once a week, then  feel free to add this step to you wash day routine. I apply the tonic to my scalp only then co wash after. I follow up with my deep conditioner after.

Very simple but effective tonic which will be in my hair care routine for many years to come.
