HOW I USE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

The Exact brand I use

I was shocked at the thought that persons use vinegar to cleanse their hair. But still I was rather curious and researched about this. A lot of women raved of how well their hair improved using this type of vinegar. Its said to softens and balance pH levels of the hair, whether natural or relaxed. I then went out after months of research and grabbed a bottle of my own.
I could not wait until my next wash day. I pree-pooed and finger detangle with Coconut Oil the night before and made my Apple cider vinegar mix. I used 1/4 cup vinegar to a cup of water. Pour gently while massage the scalp to remove build up. I then applied a plastic cap and let it sit for 30 minutes. After rinsing with Luke- warm water. I applied my deep conditioner and let that sit for a hour. After I was finished, my hair felt soft as ever. I immediately fell in love with this method and even replaced it with shampooing twice a month. I only do the apple cider once a month and shampoo once a month.
I tried doing it twice a month but it turned out to be a little too much for me. I sometimes add it to my deep conditioner mix for extra nourishment. Overall, I will continue using this product in my hair regimen.

Apple Cider Vinegar As A Face Toner

Due to my new obsession, I then went and researched how to further use this product other than as a hair cleanser. I found out that it can be used as a natural face toner. I was eager to try, so I got my bottle and made my concoction. I made about 5 ounce of water to 5 ounce of Apple cider vinegar. Used it twice a day for couple weeks. That mix turned out to be a little too much for my skin. So I gave my face about a month break, then I went and made another toner. I used a tablespoon of vinegar and the rest with distilled water. This concoction worked better for my face. It help maintain my skin tone and helped with minimizing pores and breakout. Bare in mind that this will sting if you have any open cuts from irritated bumps.
Ensure that use follow up with your face moisturizer. It could be raw shea butter, coconut oil or any store bought moisturizer. I use the St.ives face moisturizer which is pretty good.

You can try and even alter your mixture to your liking. You can make a stronger toner if you do not have super sensitive skin as mine. Once your try, feel free to tell me your experience using apple cider vinegar in your hair routine or skin care routine

Until my next post...
