STARTING A NEW HAIR JOURNEY: I HAVE STOPPED CO-WASHING
Hello again readers! I must seriously apologize for my sloppy Blogging but I have been extremely busy with work and life on a whole. Now a lot have changed since my last blog post and I would like to let you in on what's happening with my Hair Journey!
Since I have started my new job and working six days a week, I totally neglected my hair for two months! I washed and deep conditioned less, was not moisturizing and worst of all, I was not eating right! All that took a major toll on my hair. Now remember I did bleach my hair, and not moisturizing bleach curly hair is the worst! My was constantly dry and I thought co washing alone would help. I started using heavier products and tried deep conditioning whenever I had time or felt like doing my hair, which was every two weeks and sometimes more.
I started to realize my hair was shedding excessively, my ends were trashy and my hair was becoming limp. I was also experiencing al ot of itching on my scalp. My hair was sending me all kinds of signals and I finally listened to my hair. The first thing I did was give myself a trim. I got rid of all the split and damaged ends. I then proceeded to Clarify my hair and I used a Cleansing shampoo by the brand PRECISE which is also a Nuetralising Shampoo. I did a strong protein treatment and followed up with a moisturizing conditioner. I then made a new Hair Regimen and also decided to change a few hair products and stop co-washing.
Within a Month of my new Hair Regimen, I immediately saw improvement in the health of my hair! Not only did my Regimen change, I also changed my eating habits and I also drank more water. My hair grew back to where it was when I gave it a trim within a month or so. I was also Shampooing weekly! I ensure to get a sulfate free shampoo which is also moisturizing. I moisturize my hair every two days and also keep my ends protected as much as possible.
My previous hair journey was solely about health but my new hair journey is about health and Growth/ Length retention. I will be using growth aids once more. I will be taking hair growth tablets and using my oil mixture (which I will disclose at a later date). Since I have stopped Co-washing, the itchy scalp and shedding have decreased drastically. Also, my hair is no longer limp. I think I was suffering from product build up and maybe moisture overload. Since I have changed my hair products, my hair has been more moisturized and shiner.

As you can see, I have minimize my hair stash to very few products. I sometimes switch the deep conditioners but I will continuously use the ones I have listed. All of them are staples and have helped improve the health of my hair. I have also choose to limit my product stash so it is easier for me to track what causes my hair to look and feel differently, whether good or bad.
I recently started using the Mega Growth deep conditioner. I did use a box dye and changed my hair color to Burgundy. I used the Mega Growth deep conditioner afterward and I must say I like the results. I will make a review of that product at a later date.
Until my next post,
